An informative session that will discuss the concept of social purpose real estate, a term referring to the availability, accessibility, and affordability of real estate for mission-driven organizations serving the needs of the local community. We will be exploring different stakeholders' perspectives from various areas of commercial real estate to explain this paradigm shift and discuss examples of how collaboration at all levels from landlords, non-profit organizations and developers to foster an affordable and thriving city.
With higher inflation and higher rents, not-for-profit and mission-based organizations are increasingly facing significant challenges in finding and maintaining affordable spaces for their programs, services and administrative offices. This challenge threatens the sustainability of these organizations, limits access to needed services, and weakens the vitality of the community. This is why it is important to build capacity for these organizations, ensuring that we strengthen our communities by advancing social purpose real estate. We have invited panelist that will provide insights about their stakeholder views, discuss underlying pain-points to foster awareness and generate ideas for possible actionable solutions
