Scarborough Community Gets A Voice 

Shawn Allen, Principal Broker of Matrix Mortgage Global is an active member of the Scarborough Business Community and sponsors the Scarborough Community Renewal Organization (SCRO). Last month SCRO held their first annual general meeting and officially swore in their committee members. The project initiatives are to move the Scarborough in a positive progressive path with regards to transit, business interests and housing.

Meeting with Mayor John Tory 

Mayor John Tory, a supporter of the initiative, spoke of the importance of transit, education and housing. With regards to the “majorly under-serviced public transportation”, he proposed a trifecta solution of Smart Track, East LRT and an extension of the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Tory was very passionate about the notion that investment and jobs in Scarborough depend on transportation needs being met.

Shawn Allen spoke with the Mayor directly about better use of real estate assets; particularly in terms of the development of mixed-use properties and affordable housing for residents. A central value to Matrix Mortgage Global is the betterment of our dear City of Toronto’s real estate and infrastructure, and we will continue to advocate for Scarborough residents and businesses throughout the coming years.
