CANADIAN UNITED IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM SMALL BUSINESSES FOR A RELIEF GRANT UP TO $5,000.00
Royal Bank of Canada, ‘Corporate Canada’, Business Associations and Major Media Partners have teamed up to start the #CanadaUnited campaign, a nationwide small and local business campaign encouraging Canadians to buy local.
In support of small and local businesses on social media, Canadian United will be encouraging Canadians to complete ‘micro-actions’ (likes, views, etc.). In short, Canada United encourages action from everyday Canadians and Corporate Canada that kick-starts the recovery of local economies and small businesses.
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce manages the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund. They are in support of other chambers and partners that help small Canadian businesses with their recovery efforts as a result of COVID-19. Their most recent efforts are focused on providing grants for small businesses in Canada. They are currently accepting application from small businesses for a relief grant up to $5,000.00
If awarded, a relief grant can be used for any of the following activities:
- Purchasing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, face shields, and latex gloves.
- Renovating physical space to adhere to local, Provincial or Federal reopening guidelines.
- Developing or improving e-commerce capabilities for your business.
Canada united intends to support local businesses of all kinds from across the country including: retailers, service providers (barbershops, hairdressers), and farmers. Individual franchisee owners can apply, and companies receiving other COVID-19 related funding are also eligible to apply for this grant. Please note; if you are receiving other COVID-19 , those funds cannot be used to purchase items or services included in your Canada United application. It is also important to note that the program will not cover the cost of electronic hardware.
